Sunday 12th September Open Day National Gardens Scheme

We are opening the Garden from 12pm to 5 pm on Sunday 12th in support of the National Gardens Scheme. The money raised from entry goes to the charities selected by the NGS, including Macmillan, Marie Curie, Carers’ Trust, Hospice, Parkinson’s UK and the Queen’s Nursing Institute.

More information on beneficiaries is on the NGS website: ngs.org.uk

We usually have our Open Days in the Spring, but the uncertainties of Covid led to us postponing twice.

The organisers at the NGS are extremely keen for gardens to open wherever possible, so we agreed to try a late summer opening. We hope that we get a good number of visitors, and would be extremely grateful for help from residents. We need to have people at the Gate, and to help serve refreshments. It would be terrific if you could contribute cakes, muffins, cupcakes etc for the tea stall.

Please get in touch if you can help or want to know more – you will be very welcome.
