Tennis and Social Distancing

There are some additions to the Tennis Rules on the Tennis page.

As per:

  • Tennis rules adjusted for the current social distancing are available to view on the website, and in summary are:

  • Singles: If playing with another member of the same household, play as normal. If playing with a tennis member not from your household you must adhere to social distancing at all times. Either change ends clockwise, or preferably do not change ends. The LTA advises players to wear a thin glove on your non-paying hand for picking up balls.

  • Doubles/Threes: you may ONLY play with members of your own household who are themselves either tennis club members or who are covered by a family membership. Play as normal..no social distancing constraints!
